The Madison police, in the state of Wisconsin, United States, identified the teenager Natalie Rupnow as the perpetrator of the shooting that occurred at Abundant Life Christian School.
During the shooting, 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow killed a fellow student and a teacher, although it has not yet been specified if they were the intended targets of the attack.
Who is Natalie Rupnow?
The young girl was a student at Abundant Life Christian School. According to parents, she was apparently new and had just arrived at the school this year.
Initial reports suggest that Rupnow had experienced problems with her peers, which led her to plan and carry out the massacre. After the attack, she shot herself and died while being transferred to a hospital.
The teenager, who used the online name ‘Sam’ or ‘Samantha’, had shown a growing hatred towards men, advocating for their extermination from babies to the elderly.

The author of the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School left a manifesto
Authorities have confirmed that they are examining a supposed manifesto allegedly left by Natalie Rupnow before carrying out the shooting, which is circulating on social media and is “full of rage”.
Although the writing is attributed to the girl, the police have not been able to verify its authenticity.
How was the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School?
A child aged between 7 and 8 years old was the one who alerted the police. The call was made around 11:57 a.m., and the officers arrived three minutes later, but by that time, the tragedy had already occurred. Rupnow shot herself before the police arrived and died while being transported in an ambulance.
The shooting took place in a room where students from different classes were gathered together. The 9mm pistol used in the attack is still unknown how it was obtained. When the first shots were fired, several kids ran out without time to put on their jackets.
Breken Ives, an 11-year-old student, was the one who raised the alarm through the intercom. The teacher quickly acted, instructing the students to take cover in a corner where Rupnow could not see them through the door.
In another classroom, a teacher armed herself with scissors in an attempt to protect her 9-year-old students.
After the attack, six people were injured, including five students and one teacher, two of whom are in critical condition.

During a press conference, Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes revealed the timeline of the emergency response after the shooting on Monday at Abundant Life School.
- 10:57 a.m.: A second-grade student makes a 911 call to report a shooting at the school.
- 11:00 a.m.: A Dane County Sheriff’s Department officer is the first to arrive at the scene.
- 11:00:24 a.m.: The first Madison Police officer arrives. The police chief reports that officers entered the school as soon as they arrived.
- 11:05 a.m.: Officers confirm that the attacker has fallen and a weapon has been found.
- 11:05 a.m.: Fire department personnel arrive, coordinate with officers, and begin assisting the shooting victims.
- 11:14 a.m.: Officers begin clearing the school building.
- 11:23 a.m.: Bomb detection dogs are brought in to secure the area.
- 11:26 a.m.: Victims who were receiving medical attention in the school are transferred to nearby hospitals.
- 3:48 p.m.: Police announce that they do not intend to charge the parents of the suspect in connection with the shooting.
