The White Lotus season 3 premiered this Sunday, and everyone is already talking about the first episode of the new season of the HBO series. If you’ve already seen it and have some doubts, we explain in detail who’s who and what role they play.
Who’s Who in The White Lotus season 3?
The series introduces around 20 new characters, so it’s easy to get confused. But don’t worry, that’s normal at the beginning of every series. Here’s a list to help you get to know and familiarize yourself with each character:
Timothy Ratliff (Jason Isaacs)
Timothy, the patriarch of the Ratliff family, is a successful businessman who finds himself in conflict with the resort’s focus on disconnection. His main desire is to go to the gym and stay connected to his phone. Although he initially seems like a kind and loving man toward his family, doubts arise when he starts receiving calls from inquisitive journalists.
Victoria Ratliff (Parker Posey)
Victoria, the mother of the Ratliff family, is a Southern woman who takes Xanax and has a distinctive accent. As the matriarch, she’s dramatic and seems unable to overcome jet lag. She is skeptical of her daughter Piper’s Buddhist theory and can’t help but laugh at Saxon’s cheeky jokes.

Saxon Ratliff (Patrick Schwarzenegger)
Saxon, the oldest of the Ratliffs, is a stubborn young man who works at his father’s company and specializes in finance. He doesn’t identify with the Buddhist values that dominate in Thailand, and during the family vacation, his main concern is finding ways for him and his younger brother, Lochlan, to have sexual experiences.
Lochlan Ratliff (Sam Nivola)
Lochlan, affectionately known as Lochy by his siblings, is the youngest of the Ratliff family and is in his last year of high school. He faces the important decision of choosing which university he wants to apply to. He’s a somewhat reserved young man navigating the contrasts of his family life: his older sister, focused on meditation and yoga, and his older brother, who prefers parties and wild fun.
Piper Ratliff (Sarah Catherine Hook)
Piper, the middle child of the Ratliff family, is a convert to Buddhism who feels a deep fascination for Eastern spirituality. Her family traveled to Thailand due to an interview she has scheduled with a monk for her university thesis. Her older brother’s inappropriate jokes make her uncomfortable, and her parents’ ostentatious wealth also puts her in a difficult situation.
Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell)
Belinda, the spa manager in the first season of The White Lotus, moves from Maui to Koh Samui to participate in a three-month wellness program, where she learns Thai techniques for the trade. Back in Hawaii, she forms a friendship with Tanya McQuoid, the wealthy heir played by Jennifer Coolidge, who promised to help her open her own spa… though that never happens.
Zion Lindsey (Nicholas Duvernay)
Zion is Belinda’s son, studying law, but he visits his mother at White Lotus while she is studying.
Jaclyn Limón (Michelle Monaghan)
Jaclyn, a renowned actress, traveled to Thailand to organize a girls’ trip that she financed herself, inviting her childhood best friends, Kate and Laurie. They hadn’t met for a long time, so they were excited to share their accomplishments; however, there’s a subtle tension under the surface as Jaclyn and Kate continue to leave Laurie out when praising each other.
Kate (Leslie Bibb)
Kate is excited to reconnect with her childhood friends, Jaclyn and Laurie, although she also seems to be looking for gossip.
Laurie (Carrie Coon)
Laurie begins to feel a strange discomfort almost immediately during her trip with her childhood friends, Jaclyn and Kate. She thanks Jaclyn for covering the cost of the trip, but her usual corporate routine makes it difficult for her to engage in conversations about cosmetic surgery, Hollywood, and, in general, high society life.
Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood)
Chelsea is a young woman from Manchester with an adventurous spirit and works as a yoga teacher; however, her presence at the resort is a mystery to her, as her life partner, Rick, who is two decades older, has brought her to this oppressive environment. During her stay, she befriends Chloe at the hotel bar, where they share the experience of their partners being submerged in sadness and isolation.
Rick Hatchett (Walton Goggins)
He is Chelsea’s older boyfriend, and she suspects that he might be involved in something shady and is on the run from the law.
Mook (Lalisa Manobal)
Mook is a young and loving health mentor at White Lotus. She has a good friendship with Gaitok, one of the security guards at the resort, who helps her by giving her a ride on his motorcycle when hers breaks down.
Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong)
Gaitok works as a security guard at White Lotus. He’s deeply in love with his friend and colleague, Mook, whom he affectionately calls “his princess.” However, he feels somewhat overwhelmed when he sees her talking with the bodyguards of the resort owners.
Pornchai (Dom Hetrakul)
Pornchai is a wellness specialist tasked with guiding Belinda, who arrives from White Lotus in Hawaii to participate in some sort of gathering.
Valentín (Arnas Fedaravičius)
Valentin, a young man from Russia, works at White Lotus as a “health mentor”. Due to his good looks, the girls are immediately captivated when they see him.
Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon)
Chloe, who claims to be a model, regularly visits White Lotus, although she doesn’t stay as a guest since she lives in a house on the hill. Like Chelsea, she is a young woman in a relationship with a considerably older man who brought her to Thailand a year ago.
Fabián (Christian Friedel)
Fabián is the general manager of White Lotus. He is always looking for approval from his boss, Sritala.
Sritala (Lek Patravadi)
Sritala is the glamorous owner of White Lotus, along with her American husband Jim. She was once an actress and singer, enjoying brief fame in Thailand.
What is The White Lotus season 3 about?
The third season takes place in a luxurious resort in Thailand and follows the stories of various wealthy guests and employees over the course of a week.
Kate, Jaclyn, and Laurie, three lifelong friends, decide to embark on a trip together. Rick and Chelsea make an unusually compatible couple, while Victoria and Timothy travel with their three children: Saxson, Piper, and Lochlan. Meanwhile, Belinda hopes to learn everything possible at the Thai hotel spa to bring that magic back to Maui.
Will there be a Season 4 of The White Lotus?
Fans of the series will have plenty of The White Lotus to enjoy for a while, as Warner Bros. recently announced that the show has been renewed for a fourth season. However, no details about this fourth installment have been given so far.
