What is March Madness?
March Madness is a college basketball tournament organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). It was first implemented in 1939, thanks to the idea of several coaches, including Harold Olsen of Ohio State University.
March Madness 2025 Schedule
The men’s Round of 64 starts this Thursday, March 20, with half of the games played that day and the other half on Friday, March 21. The games that determine which teams will advance to the Sweet Sixteen will take place on Saturday, March 22, and Sunday, March 23.
On the other hand, the women’s Round of 64 starts on Friday (though there will be a First Four game on Thursday), and the first two rounds will run through Monday, March 24.
