Eligible Verizon customers have a limited window to claim their share of a $100 million settlement concerning the company’s administrative charges. If you are a current or former individual consumer account holder, read on to learn about the case and how to file a claim.
What is the Verizon Settlement About?
Multiple class-action lawsuits alleged that Verizon misled customers about its pricing practices. Specifically, plaintiffs claimed that Verizon’s advertised monthly rates did not accurately reflect the full cost of service, as they did not include a mandatory administrative charge. Verizon denies any wrongdoing.
Who is Eligible for the Settlement?
You may be eligible if you meet the following criteria:
- You are a current or former Verizon customer in the United States.
- You had a postpaid wireless or data plan with Verizon between January 1, 2016, and November 8, 2023.
- You were charged Verizon’s Administrative Charge and/or Administrative and Telco Recovery Charge during this period.
How Much Could I Receive?
Payments will vary. The base payment is $15, with an additional $1 for each month you were charged the administrative fee(s). Currently, the maximum payment per account holder is $100. The final amount you receive may depend on the total number of claims filed.
How Do I File a Claim?
You must file your claim before 11:59 p.m. PT, April 15th, 2024 (2:59 a.m. ET, April 16th, 2024).

Online: Visit the official settlement website for instructions.
By Mail: Download and complete the claim form from the settlement website and mail it to the specified address.
Important Note: If you do not file a claim by the deadline, you forfeit your right to any payment, as well as your right to sue Verizon regarding the issues in this case.
When Will I Get Paid?
The timeline for payments is not yet finalized, but you can expect to receive your payment after the claim period ends and the settlement receives final approval.
