Which Space Heater Was Recalled from Amazon?
There are two heaters involved in the recall:
- Vornado VH2 Full Room Heater, TYPE VH2, with the date code JUL24.
- Vornado VH2 Full Room Heater, TYPE VH2, with the date code AUG24.
These heaters have a whitish tone and feature thermostatic temperature control, automatic or continuous fan operation options, and two heat setting levels. The “Vornado” brand is visible on the front of the unit, accompanied by a red “V” in the background.
Why Were the Heaters Recalled from Amazon?
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, these devices present a risk of electric shock, which could lead to a fire hazard.
The issue is that the power cord could partially detach from the heater’s housing, which over time may damage the wiring.

When and Where Were the Recalled Heaters Sold?
These heaters were available for sale on Amazon.com in the U.S. between August and October 2024, priced at approximately $90. They were manufactured by Vornado Air LLC, based in Andover, Kansas.
What Should I Do If I Bought a Recalled Heater on Amazon?
The CPSC urges consumers to immediately stop using the affected devices and contact Vornado to confirm if their heater is included in the recall program. The company will provide instructions for receiving a free replacement heater.
