The Snoopy collection has arrived at Starbucks! The coffee chain will offer beverage items featuring the Peanuts gang, which will be available for a limited time at participating stores nationwide.

In some countries, like Mexico, this collection is already available and has caused a stir among Snoopy fans, who started lining up early in the morning to get their hands on some of the collection’s products, as it will only be available today at those locations.

Starbucks x Snoopy Collection Causes a Stir in Mexico

Mexican customers didn’t hesitate to leave their beds early to secure their Snoopy cup, the most beloved dog on TV. The cafes quickly became packed, and by the time the doors opened, the collection’s products were almost sold out.

This was evident in videos posted on social media, where long lines of Snoopy fans can be seen in the early morning hours.

According to the coffee chain in Mexico, the Starbucks x Snoopy collection is only available to Gold-level members of the Starbucks Rewards program, who should have received coupons on Sunday to redeem for the merchandise. Additionally, the collection features limited edition items, with each product having a specific quantity:

  • Reusable Cup 16oz: limited to 80,000 pieces
  • Ceramic Mug 14oz: limited to 7,000 pieces
  • Stainless Steel Cup 16oz: limited to 15,000 pieces
  • Stainless Steel Cup 16oz: limited to 11,000 pieces
  • Plastic Cup 24oz: limited to 13,000 pieces
  • Bottle 12oz: limited to 7,500 pieces
  • Tote Bag: limited to 4,000 pieces
  • Straw Topper Set: limited to 60,000 pieces
  • Three pin designs: limited to 2,000 pieces of each

In the U.S., the collection will be available starting Tuesday, March 25th.

  • Peanuts Love Plastic Cold Cup (24oz): This cold cup features Joe Kind Snoopy listening with his whole heart as his friend Woodstock shares a story in bird language. Made with double-wall construction and a smooth flat lid with a straw.  Suggested Retail Price: $19.95
  • Peanuts Joe Kind Snoopy Stainless Steel Tumbler (16oz): This stainless steel tumbler features Joe Kind Snoopy and Woodstock celebrating as they spread love, joy and happiness around them. It has a matte finish and double-wall vacuum insulation, a spill-resistant flip lid, and a tapered body for a comfortable grip, keeping drinks hot for 1.5 hours and cold for 4 hours.  Suggested Retail Price: $29.95
  • Peanuts Friendship Ceramic Mug (14oz): This Peanuts mug showcases all the Peanuts gang hanging out and having a good time. This mug features a light, matte finish.  Suggested Retail Price: $24.95

Starbucks History

Starbucks began its journey in 1971 at Pike Place Market in Seattle, where it opened its first store with the aim of selling freshly roasted coffee beans, tea, and spices from around the world, allowing customers to enjoy these products at home. The company’s name was inspired by a character in the classic novel Moby Dick, evoking the rich maritime tradition of the early coffee traders.

A decade later, a young New Yorker named Howard Schultz visited Starbucks and fell in love with the coffee from the very first sip. In 1983, during a trip to Milan, he became captivated by the culture of Italian coffee shops, impressed by the warmth and artistry surrounding the experience. Motivated by his discovery, he returned to Seattle with the ambition to transform Starbucks into more than just a coffee bean store. In 1987, the company adopted its iconic green aprons, marking a new chapter in its evolution toward becoming a true coffeehouse.

The company expanded rapidly and dynamically, opening new stores in Chicago and Vancouver before reaching California, Washington DC, and New York. In 1996, the company took its first international step by opening a store in Japan, followed by its arrival in Europe in 1998 and China in 1999. Over the next two decades, Starbucks grew exponentially, becoming a gathering place for millions of customers every week and becoming an integral part of daily life in communities around the world.
