The company recently announced that in the coming months, it will reduce its menu in order to simplify its offerings, reduce wait times for customers, and improve the overall experience.

It is expected that the chain will begin removing certain items from its menu in all its stores in the next few weeks, with the process being completed by the end of fiscal year 2025, on June 30th.

What items will Starbucks remove from its menu?

So far, the company has not revealed which specific products will be removed but has indicated that approximately 30% of its food and beverage offerings are expected to be reduced.

How many Starbucks are there in the United States?

Currently, there are 16,482 Starbucks stores across the United States.

Which U.S. city has the largest Starbucks?

It is the Chicago Roastery. The company’s story began in 1971 when it opened its first store at Seattle’s Pike Place Market, marking the start of a journey that would bring its coffee to every corner of the planet. Opened in November 2019 on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, this location stands out as the largest of them all.

Who owns Starbucks?

Among its main shareholders are major asset management firms like The Vanguard Group, BlackRock, and State Street. However, these companies hold shares through mutual funds and exchange-traded funds they manage on behalf of their clients.

Why is it called Starbucks?

In 1971, the founders of Starbucks met with artist Terry Heckler to create the brand’s identity. They wanted a name that evoked a sense of adventure and a connection to the seafaring tradition of early coffee traders.

Initially, co-founder Gordon Bowker, a writer, suggested naming it “Pequod”, inspired by the ship from Herman Melville’s famous novel, “Moby-Dick”. However, Terry opposed the idea.

While researching names of mining camps near Mount Rainier, one of the iconic locations near Seattle, Terry found the name “Starbo”, which led the team to reconsider their options. Eventually, they realized that in “Moby-Dick”, the first mate of the Pequod was named Starbuck, and they decided to adopt that name for the brand.
