Smashburger is back with a surprise for its fans! The popular fast-food chain has announced the launch of a new summer menu, perfect for cooling down during hot days. The highlight? Two new banana-themed milkshakes joining the brand’s line of classic shakes. Here’s what they’re like and when you can get them.
What are the new Smashburger shakes like?
Both new shakes feature banana as the star ingredient:
- Banana Shake: Made with creamy Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream and real banana purée.
- Banana Chocolatey Chip Shake: Combines Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream and banana purée, blended with Denali chocolate chips and topped with more chips and whipped cream for an irresistible treat.

When will the new Smashburger shakes be available?
They’re available now nationwide! You can order your favorite via the Smashburger app or on Smashburger.com. Plus, you have the option to customize any shake by adding chocolate chips for just 50 cents more. The melted chocolate chips create a smooth texture for a more enjoyable, crunch-free experience.

Using the code SHAKES25, customers can get 50% off all milkshakes every Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with any purchase. The offer is valid from May 2 through July 31, whether you order in-store, to-go, online, or via the app.

What is SmashRewards?
It’s the company’s loyalty program, where you earn 10 points for every $1 spent. Points are automatically added when you order through the app or Smashburger.com. If you’re ordering in-store, you’ll need to scan your app at the register or give your phone number before paying.
When you sign up and place your first order via the app, online, or in-store using your rewards account, you’ll get a free order of fries. Keep in mind that your points expire after 6 consecutive months of inactivity.
To redeem your rewards, follow these steps:
- In-store: Tell the cashier you’d like to use a reward. You can scan your QR code from the app or provide your phone number so they can find your account and apply the reward.
- Online: Click the “Order Now” button. Once logged in, start placing your order. If you have an eligible reward, it will appear at checkout. Make sure to apply it to see the discount. If your order doesn’t meet the requirements, you’ll see an error message.
- In the app: Log in and go to the “My Rewards” section to view available rewards. To redeem, click “Order Now,” add items to your cart, and proceed to checkout. Eligible rewards will show up during payment—click “Apply” to use the discount.
