Sam’s Club Says Goodbye to Traditional Checkout Lanes
The company’s expansion plan also includes transforming 600 locations into more modern spaces, bringing them into the digital age. Among the innovations is a store model without traditional checkout lanes. This setup was first introduced at the Grapevine, Texas location, where customers now use the Scan & Go app on their phones to scan and pay for their items as they shop.
In addition to saving customers time, this change allows the space previously used for checkout lanes to be repurposed for preparing in-store pickup and online delivery orders. This digital model is expected to be rolled out to other stores in the chain over the coming years.

- Free delivery on orders of $50 or more that meet the requirements.
- Free shipping on eligible orders of $50 or more.
- Free curbside pickup, always available for Plus members.
- Early access to purchases, allowing you to shop before the crowds.

Can I shop at Sam’s Club without a membership?
