Less than a week before the release of Part 2 of season 1, Netflix confirmed that there will be Beauty in Black season 2, meaning there is still much to explore in the story of Kimmie and Mallory. Here’s everything we know about it.
When is Beauty in Black season 2 coming out?
So far, Netflix has not revealed an exact release date for the second season; however, since Part 2 of season 1 was just released on March 6 of this year, the new installment could arrive on the platform in 2026.
Just like with the first season of the series, the second installment will be released in two parts.

What will Beauty in Black season 2 be about?
(WARNING: SPOILERS!) If you’ve already seen the first season, you know it ends on a suspenseful note after the Chicago club dancer, Kimmie, is announced as the new wife of Horace, becoming the matriarch of the Bellarie family and the future heir to his fortune.
“Children, this is your new stepmother… Oh, and she’s also your new boss,” Horace tells his shocked sons, Roy and Charles. But Kimmie’s rise has only just begun, so if you thought the first season was crazy, you’re not ready for the second.
The synopsis of the second season of this drama created, written, directed, and produced by Tyler Perry says: “The ruthless and treacherous family behind a beauty brand —and an underground trafficking network— will have to face the consequences. Kimmie, once a modest sex worker in their service, becomes an unstoppable force of vengeance on a mission to rescue her kidnapped sister.”
The marriage between Horace and Kimmie is not well-received by the wealthy family; however, now that she has the power of the Bellarie name, nothing will stop Kimmie from taking what is hers.

What is the plot of Beauty in Black?
The plot of the first season of this series follows the story of two women with very different lives. Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) struggles to make a living in a strip club after being kicked out of her home at 17. And Mallory (Crystle Stewart) runs a prosperous business; both women get entangled in each other’s lives.
When Kimmie and her best friend Rain (Amber Reign Smith) find themselves caught in the middle of a drug raid at the airport, their fate is placed in the hands of Jules (Charles Malik Whitfield), who offers them the chance to avoid prison in exchange for working in the sex industry.
Kimmie struggles to accept this alternative, but she feels increasingly trapped in an environment that seems impossible to escape. So, when she learns about a scholarship program sponsored by the powerful beauty entrepreneur Mallory, Kimmie decides to apply for a chance at the freedom she desperately wants.
However, they soon discover that the dark secrets surrounding their lives are more connected to Mallory than they ever imagined.
