Attention, chocolate lovers! Krispy Kreme has announced the return of its popular annual Chocomania collection, featuring new doughnuts in collaboration with Hershey’s. Want to try them? We’ll tell you what the collection includes and when it goes on sale.
What’s included in the new Krispy Kreme x Hershey’s doughnut collection?
This new edition of Chocomania includes three new doughnuts, as well as the return of a fan favorite, all with a delicious Hershey’s milk chocolate glaze:
- (New) Hershey’s Chocolate Salted Caramel Cheesecake Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Hershey’s caramel cheesecake-flavored cream, dipped in Hershey’s milk chocolate glaze, sprinkled with chocolate cookie crumbs, and topped with a salted caramel swirl.
- (New) Hershey’s Chocolate Buttercreme Doughnut: A ring-shaped unglazed doughnut, dipped in Hershey’s milk chocolate glaze, and topped with chocolate-flavored buttercream and semisweet chocolate curls.
- (New) Hershey’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut covered in cookie dough flavor icing, topped with Hershey’s chocolate chip cookie pieces, mini semisweet chocolate chips, and Hershey’s milk chocolate glaze.
- Hershey’s Classic Chocolate Doughnut: A fan favorite. It’s an Original Glazed doughnut with Hershey’s milk chocolate glaze and a chocolate swirl.

When will the Krispy Kreme x Hershey’s doughnut collection be available?
The Chocomania collection is already on sale! You can find it at participating locations starting Wednesday, March 19. But hurry! These new doughnuts will only be available for a limited time.
You can purchase your Hershey’s-flavored doughnuts in physical stores or through the app and website for pickup or delivery. The doughnuts are available for individual purchase, by the dozen, or in a 6-piece pack.
The History of Krispy Kreme
Krispy Kreme’s history began in the 1930s. According to legend, Vernon Rudolph, the founder of this famous doughnut brand, won the secret recipe for making yeast doughnuts in a poker game against a French chef in New Orleans.
He then rented a space in Old Salem, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he started selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts wholesale to supermarkets. However, the irresistible aroma of freshly baked doughnuts began to fill the streets, attracting passersby who eagerly asked if they could buy hot and fresh doughnuts.
Vernon seized the opportunity and decided to open a small hole in the wall of his building to sell directly to customers. Although Vernon passed away in 1976, his beloved Krispy Kreme brand lives on today.
In 2001, Krispy Kreme opened its first international store in Canada, near Toronto, a huge success that fueled its global expansion. By 2012, the brand had 500 stores outside the United States, and today it has over 1,400 locations in more than 33 countries.
