Why was the Snack Wrap removed from McDonald’s menu?

According to the fast-food chain, the Snack Wrap was discontinued because it was too complicated to prepare efficiently.

When will the Snack Wrap return to McDonald’s?

Erlinger announced that the Snack Wrap will return in 2025. Although an exact date was not specified, it is likely to be back on the menu during the first half of the year.

“It’s a cult favorite. I receive a lot of emails in my inbox about this product”, told “Good Morning America”.

What new menu items are coming to McDonald’s in 2025?

The president of McDonald’s USA also shared the company’s plans for next year, which include introducing new menu items like the McValue.

The McValue focuses on providing budget-friendly options, including value deals on various menu items. Among these is the extension of the popular $5 meal deal, available during the first six months of 2025.

Does McDonald’s offer healthy food options?

While McDonald’s is primarily known as a fast-food chain associated with less healthy options, it’s possible to find balanced meals. The key is portion control, making informed choices, and understanding the nutritional content of the food.

As a general rule, opt for menu items made with chicken, as they tend to have higher protein content and less fat compared to other meats.

Some of McDonald’s healthier options include:

  • Egg McMuffin
  • Six-piece Chicken McNuggets
  • Sausage Burrito
  • Filet-O-Fish
  • Apple slices
  • Fruit & Maple Oatmeal

How many McDonald’s restaurants are there in the United States?

It is estimated that there are 13,562 McDonald’s restaurants across 54 states and territories in the U.S. California leads with 1,222 locations, followed by Houston with 125. This means approximately 9% of all McDonald’s restaurants in the country are located in California.

E. coli outbreak at McDonald’s

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have confirmed the end of the deadly E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounders. In response, the fast-food chain is taking steps to restore customer trust.

“We let people down. I want to apologize to all our customers who were affected by this incident,” said the president of McDonald’s USA.

The E. coli outbreak was traced to raw sliced onions used in Quarter Pounders served at around 900 restaurants in Colorado and neighboring states. This prompted McDonald’s to take swift action, immediately removing those onions from its supply chain.

“We stopped using the supplier’s facilities and ceased sourcing onions from that farm. The investigation is complete, but McDonald’s work is far from over,” he added.
