Just in time for the arrival of the warm season, the ice cream brand Halo Top has announced the launch of eight new flavors and, to celebrate, they will be giving away pints of ice cream. Here’s what the new products are and how you can get your free pint.
What are the new Halo Top ice cream flavors?
According to the company, their latest innovation, the first indulgent yet light ice cream filled with ingredients in every bite, is specially designed for those who doubt that a low-calorie ice cream can be as delicious as traditional versions.
Each pint of ice cream contains only 490 calories. Here are the eight new flavors you can find:
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: With cookie dough flavor, mixed with soft and chewy cookie dough pieces and chocolate chunks.
- Chocolate Fudge Brownie: Filled with chewy chocolate brownies and brownie dough swirls.
- Cherry Chocolate Chunk: Black cherry flavor mixed with chewy Bordeaux cherry pieces and chocolate chunks.
- Cookies & Brownies: Light ice cream inspired by cookie dough mixed with light chocolate ice cream, chewy cookie dough pieces with chocolate chips, and caramelized sugar brownies.
- Caramel Cookie Crunch: Caramel flavor with thick ribbons of salted caramel mixed with cookie pieces coated in chocolate.
- Strawberry Cheesecake: Cheesecake flavor mixed with real strawberry pieces and graham cracker crust dough swirls.
- Sweet Cream Cold Brew: Cold brew coffee ice cream with whipped cream swirls and chocolate coffee chunks.
- P.B. Cookie Dough & Fudge: Peanut butter and chocolate flavor mixed with chewy peanut butter cookie dough pieces and caramel fudge swirls.

When will the new Halo Top ice creams be available?
The eight new flavors are already available! You can find them at retail stores nationwide.
How to get free pints of ice cream from Halo Top?
Halo Top will celebrate International Happiness Day by giving away 80,000 pints of ice cream to its customers. To claim the offer, all you need to do is buy a pint of the new flavors and submit a receipt through the company’s website.
The offer will be available from Tuesday, March 11, to Thursday, March 20, 2025. Only one pint per person will be given, and all locations across the country are participating, except those in the following states:
- California
- Colorado
- Kansas
- Louisiana
- Minnesota
- North Dakota
- Nevada
- Tennessee
- Wisconsin

History of Halo Top
The creation of the ice cream brand took place around 2011, with Justin Woolverton, a former lawyer at Latham & Watkins LLP. In his search to reduce his intake of carbs and refined sugars, Woolverton began experimenting with making ice cream in his own kitchen.
In the early days of Halo Top, Woolverton focused on constant experimentation, perfecting the ingredients for over a year. To create a formula that could withstand transportation throughout the supply chain, he turned to the Dairy Innovation Institute at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he fine-tuned and optimized his recipe.
With a retail price of $5 per pint, Halo Top’s annual sales skyrocketed by approximately 2,500% during 2016 and continued to rise in 2017. By July of that year, Halo Top had become the best-selling pint of ice cream in U.S. grocery stores and received several international recognitions, including the Taste Test Award and the Lausanne Index Prize.
