Are you a fan of spicy food? Firehouse Subs has a challenge for you! They’ve announced a collaboration with Hot Ones to launch a new menu of sandwiches inspired by this iconic (and super spicy) sauce. If you dare to try them, here’s everything you need to know about them.

What are the new spicy sandwiches from Firehouse Subs?

The new sandwiches are made from Firehouse Subs’ classic sandwich, featuring the same variety of spicy sauces from Hot Ones. One is spicier than the other, but both pack a fiery kick that will leave you feeling the heat:

  • Spicy Dill Hook & Ladder: Made with smoked turkey, honey ham, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and deli mustard, topped with Firehouse Hero hot sauce and Hot Ones’ The Last Dab Reaper Edition (made with Carolina Reaper peppers, distilled vinegar, ginger root, turmeric, cilantro, cumin, and dry mustard).
  • Zesty Garlic Hook & Ladder: A sandwich with smoked turkey, honey ham, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, garlic chips, mayonnaise, and topped with Hot Ones’ The Classic Garlic Fresno (made with Fresno chile, water, apple cider vinegar, garlic puree, vinegar, kosher salt, organic dried garlic, organic turmeric, and organic black pepper).

For the brave ones, the chain will also offer the Last Dab Dill Pickle, a super spicy pickle marinated in Hot Ones’ The Last Dab XXX sauce.

When will Firehouse Subs’ spicy sandwiches be available?

Both the new sandwiches and the pickles will be available in restaurants nationwide starting Monday, March 10, so you can try them now!

History of Firehouse Subs

The chain was created in Florida by brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen, who were firefighters. They grew up in a family environment with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and the company was built upon the lessons learned during their years of public service and their time as part of the fire department. Over three decades after its founding, Firehouse Subs has expanded to more than 1,250 restaurants in the United States, Canada, Switzerland, and Mexico.

Their locations follow an open kitchen concept with table service, offering customers a high-quality fast food experience. True to its roots, the company supports rescue teams and local fire departments in each community it serves.

What is Hot Ones?

Hot Ones is an online interview show hosted by Sean Evans, which began streaming on YouTube in 2015. In each episode, Evans and his guests eat 10 chicken wings coated in increasingly spicy sauces. Over the past 10 years, Hot Ones has featured big-name celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Lady Gaga, and more.

How many seasons does Hot Ones have?

Currently, the show has 26 seasons. All of them are available on streaming platforms like Prime Video and Apple TV.

What type of chile is used in Hot Ones’ sauce?

Hot Ones offers a wide variety of hot sauces, each made with different chiles such as maple chile, chipotle, Fresno chile, jalapeño, serrano, cayenne, and Carolina Reaper.

What is the world’s spiciest chile?

The Carolina Reaper holds the title of the world’s spiciest chile, according to the Guinness World Records. Its heat level, measured at the Pepper Institute of New Mexico State University, ranges from 1.5 to 2.2 million Scoville Heat Units (SHU), making it almost unbearable for humans.
