Dutch Bros coffee to be sold in retail stores
Great news for Dutch Bros fans! The popular coffee brand will now also be sold in retail stores, so you can purchase it closer to home and prepare it in the comfort of your own space. The new product line will include packaged coffee as well as related items, which will be sold in collaboration with Trilliant Food & Nutrition, LLC.
Trilliant is one of the largest manufacturers of single-serve coffee pods and ready-to-drink beverages in the United States, with products available in over 50,000 retail stores across the country.
In a statement, the company mentioned that this strategy represents a major milestone in the company’s growth, creating a new way to bring Dutch Bros’ unique beverage experience directly to consumers’ homes.
“We are excited about this opportunity as it allows us to reach customers on even more occasions to enjoy our beverages. We believe this offering will strengthen brand recognition, especially in newer markets, by providing exposure to new potential customers,” said Christine Barone.
Additionally, the company expects its entry into the packaged consumer goods (CPG) market to help reinforce its commitment to the community, as part of the profits from the mass-market product business will be donated to the Dutch Bros Foundation.
History of Dutch Bros
Dutch Bros Inc. is an expanding company that operates and franchises drive-thru locations, specializing in offering high-quality handcrafted beverages. Founded in 1992 by brothers Dane and Travis Boersma, their story began with a double-head espresso machine and a mobile cart in Grants Pass, Oregon.
While espresso-based drinks remain at the heart of their offerings, the chain today provides a wide variety of cold and hot drinks, unique and customizable, designed to meet the tastes of a diverse customer base.
The combination of superior handcrafted beverages, their innovative drive-thru service, and a community-centered culture has been key to the brand’s success. This has allowed for new store openings and continued sharing of the “Dutch Luv.”
How many Dutch Bros are there in the United States?
As of December 31, 2024, the coffee chain had 982 locations in 18 U.S. states, a number that will exceed 1,000 locations starting this year with the opening of more stores.
