Complete Speech of Donald Trump

Below is the speech given by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, at the inauguration:

Thank you. Thank you very much to everyone. Thank you, thank you. Vice President Vance. President Johnson. Senator Thune. Chief Justice Roberts. Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court. President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and my fellow citizens, the golden age of America begins right now.

From this day forward, our country will thrive and be respected again all over the world. We will be the envy of all nations, and we will no longer allow ourselves to be taken advantage of. Throughout every day of the Trump administration, I will simply put America first.

Our sovereignty will be restored. Our security will be regained. The balance of justice will be restored. The cruel, violent, and unjust use of the Department of Justice and our government as weapons will come to an end. And our top priority will be to create a proud, prosperous, and free nation. America will soon be greater, stronger, and more exceptional than ever.

I return to the presidency with confidence and optimism, knowing that we are at the beginning of an exciting new era of national success. A wave of change is sweeping across the country, the sunlight shines on the entire world, and the United States has the opportunity to seize this moment like never before. But first, we must be honest about the challenges we face. Though they are numerous, they will be annihilated by the great momentum that the world is now witnessing in the United States of America.

As we gather today, our government faces a crisis of trust. For many years, a radical and corrupt establishment has extracted power and wealth from our citizens while the pillars of our society lay broken and seemingly abandoned. Now we have a government that cannot manage even a simple crisis at home, while at the same time stumbling through a continuous catalog of catastrophic events abroad. It fails to protect our magnificent law-abiding American citizens, but offers refuge and protection to dangerous criminals, many of whom have entered our country illegally from prisons and mental institutions around the world.

We have a government that has provided unlimited funding for the defense of foreign borders but refuses to defend the U.S. border, or more importantly, its own people. Our country can no longer provide basic services in times of emergency, as recently shown by the wonderful people of North Carolina, who have been treated so badly. And other states that are still suffering from a hurricane that occurred months ago.

Or more recently, Los Angeles, where we are still seeing fires tragically burn. For weeks, without even symbolic defense, they are destroying homes and communities, even affecting some of the wealthiest and most powerful individuals in our country, some of whom are sitting here right now. They no longer have a home. That’s interesting.

But we cannot let this happen. Everyone is incapable of doing anything about it. That will change. We have a public health system that does not respond in times of disaster, yet more money is spent on it than in any other country in the world. And we have an education system that teaches our children to be ashamed of themselves in many cases, to hate our country despite the love we desperately try to convey to them. All of this will change starting today, and it will change very quickly.

My recent election is a mandate to fully and completely reverse a horrible betrayal and all the many betrayals that have taken place, and to return to the people their faith, their wealth, their democracy, and certainly their freedom. From this moment forward, the decline of the United States is over.

Our freedoms and our glorious national destiny will no longer be denied. And we will immediately restore the integrity, competence, and loyalty of the U.S. government.

In the past eight years, I have been tested and faced challenges more than any president in the 250 years of our history. And I have learned much along the way. The path to reclaiming our Republic has not been an easy one, I can tell you that. Those who wish to stop our cause have tried to take my freedom, and indeed, take my life.

Just a few months ago, in that beautiful field in Pennsylvania, a bullet from an assassin pierced my ear. But I felt then, and I believe even more now, that my life was saved for a reason. God saved me to make America great again.

Thank you. Thank you so much.

That is why every day, under our administration of American patriots, we will work to face every crisis with dignity, power, and strength. We will move with purpose and speed to restore hope, prosperity, security, and peace to citizens of all races, religions, colors, and creeds. For American citizens, January 20, 2025 is the Day of Liberation.

My hope is that our recent presidential election will be remembered as the greatest and most consequential in the history of our country. As our victory showed, the entire nation is quickly uniting around our agenda, with dramatic increases in support from nearly every element of our society: young and old, men and women, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, urban, suburban, rural, and most importantly, we had a powerful victory in the seven key states, and we won the popular vote by millions of people.

To the Black and Hispanic communities, I want to thank you for the tremendous show of love and trust that you have shown me with your vote. We broke records, and I will never forget it. I’ve heard your voices during the campaign, and I look forward to working with you in the coming years. Today is Martin Luther King Day in his honor, and this will be a great honor. But in his honor, we will fight together to make his dream a reality. We will make his dream come true.

National unity is returning to the United States, and trust and pride are rising like never before. In everything we do, my administration will be inspired by a strong pursuit of excellence and relentless success. We will not forget our country, we will not forget our Constitution, and we will not forget our God. That cannot be done.

Today, I will sign a series of historic executive orders. With these actions, we will begin the complete restoration of the United States and the revolution of common sense. It’s all about common sense.

First, I will declare a national emergency on our southern border. All illegal entry will be stopped immediately, and we will begin the process of returning millions and millions of foreign criminals to the places they came from. I will reinstate my Remain in Mexico policy. I will end the catch and release practice. And I will send troops to the southern border to repel the disastrous invasion of our country.

Under the orders I signed today, we will also designate cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. And by invoking the 1798 Alien Enemies Act, I will instruct our government to use all the immense power of federal and state laws to eliminate the presence of all foreign criminal gang networks that bring devastating crime to American soil, including our cities and urban areas.

As Commander-in-Chief, I have no greater responsibility than to defend our country from threats and invasions, and that is exactly what I am going to do. We will do it at a level no one has ever seen before. Next, I will instruct all members of my Cabinet to mobilize the vast powers at their disposal to defeat what was a record inflation and quickly and dramatically reduce costs and prices. The inflation crisis was caused by massive spending and the relentless rise in energy prices. That’s why I will also declare a national energy emergency today. We will drill, yes, we will drill.

The United States will once again be a manufacturing nation, and we have something no other manufacturing nation will ever have: the largest amount of oil and gas of any country on Earth, and we will use it. We will use it.

We will lower prices, refill our strategic reserves to the top, and export American energy to the entire world.

We will be rich again, and it is that liquid gold beneath our feet that will help us achieve it. With my actions today, we will end the Green New Deal and revoke the electric vehicle mandate, saving our automotive industry and fulfilling my sacred promise to our great American auto workers.

In other words, they will be able to buy the car of their choice. We will build cars again in the United States at a pace no one could have dreamed possible just a few years ago. And thanks to the automotive workers of our nation for their inspiring vote of confidence. We did so much with your vote.

I will immediately begin reforming our trade system to protect American workers and families. Instead of taxing our citizens to enrich other countries, we will tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens. For this purpose, we are establishing the External Revenue Service, which will collect all tariffs, duties, and taxes. It will be huge amounts of money coming into the treasury, coming from foreign sources.

The American dream will soon return and flourish like never before. To restore competition and efficiency to the federal government, my administration will establish the new Department of Government Efficiency.

After years and years of illegal and unconstitutional federal efforts to restrict free speech, I will also sign an executive order to immediately stop all government censorship and return freedom of speech to the United States.

Never again will the immense power of the state be used to persecute political opponents, something I know well. We will not allow this to happen. It will never happen again. Under my leadership, we will restore fair, equal, and impartial justice under the constitutional rule of law. And we will bring law and order back to our cities.

This week, I will also end the government policy of trying to socially manage race and gender in all aspects of public and private life. We will forge a society that does not discriminate by color and is based on merit. Starting today, it will be official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.

This week, we will reinstate with full back pay all military service members who were unjustly expelled for opposing the Covid vaccine mandate. And I will sign an order to immediately stop having our warriors be engaged in radical political theories and social experiments while in service. Our military will be free to focus on its one mission: defeating America’s enemies.

As in 2017, we will again build the strongest military the world has ever seen. We will measure our success not only by the battles we win but also by the wars we end, and perhaps most importantly, by the wars we never enter.

My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier. That is what I want to be, a peacemaker and unifier. I am pleased to say that, as of yesterday, one day before taking office, the hostages in the Middle East are being returned home with their families. Thank you.

The United States will take its rightful place again as the greatest, most powerful, and most respected nation on Earth, inspiring the admiration and awe of the entire world. Soon, we will rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. And we will restore the name of a great president, William McKinley, to Mount McKinley, where it should be and where it belongs.

President McKinley made our country very rich, through tariffs and talent. He was a natural businessman and gave Teddy Roosevelt the money for many of the great things he did, including the Panama Canal, which foolishly was given to the country of Panama after the United States. The United States—think about this—spent more money than ever before on a project and lost 38,000 lives in the construction of the Panama Canal. We have been treated very poorly with this senseless gift that should never have been made. And Panama’s promise to us has been broken. The purpose of our agreement and the spirit of our treaty have been totally violated.

U.S. ships are being charged excessive fees and not treated fairly in any sense. And that includes the U.S. Navy. And, above all, China is operating the Panama Canal, and we didn’t give it to China, we gave it to Panama. And we’re going to take it back.

Above all, my message to Americans today is that it is time for us to once again act with courage, vigor, and the vitality of the greatest civilization in history. So, by liberating our nation, we will take it to new heights of victory and success. We will not be deterred. Together, we will end the epidemic of chronic diseases and keep our children safe, healthy, and free from disease.

The United States will once again be considered a growing nation, one that increases our wealth, expands our territory, builds our cities, raises our expectations, and carries our flag to new and beautiful horizons. And we will pursue our manifest destiny to the stars, sending American astronauts to plant the stars and stripes on the planet Mars.

Ambition is the lifeblood of a great nation. And right

now, our nation is more ambitious than any other. No other nation is like ours. We Americans are explorers, builders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and pioneers. The spirit of the frontier is etched in our hearts. The call of the next great adventure resonates deep in our souls. Our American ancestors turned a small group of colonies at the edge of a vast continent into a powerful republic of the most extraordinary citizens in the world. No one comes close.

Americans advanced thousands of miles through rugged land of untamed nature. They crossed deserts, climbed mountains, faced unimaginable dangers, conquered the Wild West, ended slavery, rescued millions from tyranny, lifted billions out of poverty, mastered electricity, split the atom, sent humanity into the sky, and placed the universe of human knowledge in the palm of the hand. If we work together, there is nothing we cannot do and no dream we cannot achieve.

Many thought it was impossible for me to achieve such a historic political comeback. But as you see today, here I am. The American people have spoken.

Now I stand before you as proof that you should never believe that something is impossible to do. In the United States, the impossible is what we do best.

From New York to Los Angeles, from Philadelphia to Phoenix, from Chicago to Miami, from Houston to right here in Washington D.C., our country was forged and built by generations of patriots who gave everything they had for our rights and for our freedom. They were farmers and soldiers, cowboys and factory workers, steelworkers and miners, police officers and pioneers who pushed forward, advanced, and never let any obstacle defeat their spirit or their pride.

Together, they laid the railroad tracks, built the skyscrapers, built great highways, won two world wars, defeated fascism and communism, and triumphed over every challenge they faced. After everything we’ve been through together, we are on the brink of the greatest four years in American history. With your help, we will restore the American promise and rebuild the nation we love, because we love it deeply.

We are one people, one family, and a glorious nation under God. So, for every father who dreams of his son’s future and every child who dreams of their own, I am with you, I will fight for you, and I will win for you. We will win like never before. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

In recent years, our nation has suffered greatly. But we will recover it and make it great again, greater than ever before. We will be a nation like no other, full of compassion, courage, and exceptionalism. Our power will stop all wars and bring a new spirit of unity to a world that has been angry, violent, and completely unpredictable.

America will be respected again and admired again, even by religious people, those of faith, and good will. We will be prosperous, we will be proud, we will be strong, and we will win like never before. We will not be conquered, we will not be intimidated, we will not be broken, and we will not fail. Starting today, the United States of America will be a free, sovereign, and independent nation.

We will stand boldly, live proudly, dream boldly, and nothing will stand in our way because we are Americans. The future is ours. And our golden age has just begun. Thank you, and may God bless America, thank you all.

What will Donald Trump do in his new term?

Today marks the beginning of a new phase for Donald Trump in the United States, accompanied by a series of measures designed to reform government policy and define the next four years.

Donald Trump will sign presidential executive orders covering various topics such as national security, foreign relations, and internal regulations. One of these measures will aim to curb illegal immigration through the construction of a border wall and the implementation of mass deportations.

Additionally, Donald Trump will impose a general tariff of 10% on imports to the United States, especially from Mexico, Canada, and China, which are the country’s main trading partners.

The president Donald Trump has also promised to pardon most people convicted for the Capitol attack that took place on January 6, 2021.

Could Donald Trump become president again?

No. Donald Trump cannot run for a third presidential term in 2028 due to a restriction in the United States Constitution. The 22nd Amendment clearly states that no person can be elected president more than twice, whether in consecutive or non-consecutive terms, as is the case with Donald Trump.
