Costco will sell Slice soda again! Check from when

Stop everything! A classic soda from the 80s is back on Costco shelves after 15 years of being off the shelves. We’re talking about Slice, which returns to the warehouse chain stronger and more refreshed than ever. Here’s what we know.

When will Slice be sold at Costco?

The soda is already available! In addition to Costco, you can also find it at Albertson’s, HEB, and Target stores. The brand plans to expand its distribution to more stores across the country in the coming months, so keep an eye out.

The return of Slice has been made possible by Suja Life, the company that acquired the brand and decided to revitalize it with a healthier focus. According to Maria Stipp, CEO of Suja Life, their mission is to turn everyday drinks into alternatives that offer health benefits.

“Our mission at Suja Life is to revolutionize health in the United States through what we drink. While we know not everyone is looking for a healthy beverage, sodas are a staple in nearly every refrigerator in the U.S.,” she stated.

New Slice Flavors

Originally launched in 1984 by PepsiCo, the soda gained the preference of thousands of consumers, but in the early 2000s, it was removed from Costco’s shelves. Now, it returns with a new sugar-reduced formula… and a wider variety of flavors!

According to the company, the revamped version of the drink is enriched with prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics, making it a healthier option without sacrificing its refreshing taste. In addition, each can contains only five grams of sugar, thanks to a blend of organic stevia and cane sugar.

The new Slice line includes flavors like:

  • Grapefruit Spritz
  • Lemon Lime
  • Orange
  • Strawberry

For now, Costco only sells the Orange and Lemon Lime flavors. The brand plans to introduce Classic Cola, Ginger Ale, and Grape flavors in the future.
