This Tuesday, April 15, anyone who makes a purchase at any California Tortilla location will receive free small chips and queso (or salsa). To redeem the offer, just say “1040” when placing your order in-store. If you’re ordering through the CalTort app or online on their official website, use the promo code “1040.”
“We know Tax Day isn’t exactly something people look forward to, but California Tortilla is here to lighten the load with something a little more fun than filing paperwork,” the company said in a statement.
California Tortilla launches new taquitos
Back in March, the restaurant chain introduced a new menu item: Taquito Dippers—a perfect duo of crispy, flavorful taquitos available for just $7.95. Taquito Dippers consist of two 6-inch flour tortillas filled with grilled shredded chicken breast, jack cheese, sour cream, pico de gallo, green chiles, and spices. You can choose two sauces to dip them in.
What is Burrito Elito?
It’s the company’s loyalty program. When you sign up, you earn one point for every dollar spent at Cal Tort. Once you reach 75 points, you’ll receive $5 in Burrito Bucks added to your account. Members also get surprise perks throughout the year and a free burrito on their birthday.
You can level up to Gold status in the Burrito Elito program by spending $50 within a 6-month period. At this level, you’ll start earning 1.5 points per dollar, which you can redeem for rewards.
Joining Burrito Elito is easy: you can download the mobile app from the App Store or Google Play, pick up a card at any location and register it online, or simply sign up online and give your phone number to the cashier during visits to track your points.
