Master the bō (a new type of weapon for Naoe), unlock new skills, equipment, and abilities, and enjoy more than ten hours of additional content.
You’ll also get to decide whether you want to play as a shinobi or samurai, tackling missions and mastering the complementary playstyles of the two protagonists:
- Naoe: Trained to become an Assassin shinobi in the province of Iga; seeks revenge to fulfill an impossible promise. With this character, you’ll use noise, light, and shadows to evade enemies, who will respond to changes in the environment. Distract guards using kunai, shuriken, and smoke bombs; infiltrate enemy bases with your grappling hook and parkour abilities, and assassinate enemies with the hidden blade.
- Yasuke: After completing his training to become an expert samurai, he must now face the demons of his past. This character will allow you to attack your opponents with deadly precision and power. Master the vast arsenal of weapons at your disposal, such as bows, katanas, kanabō, and naginata, to free Japan from its oppressors.
Throughout the game, you’ll travel from spectacular citadels and bustling ports to peaceful sanctuaries.

History of Ubisoft
Ubisoft’s history has its roots in a family. The five Guillemot brothers, recognizing the potential of the emerging software development business, founded the company in 1986 with the goal of creating and distributing video games globally. From their early titles, such as Zombi for PC, to the successful Rayman in the 90s, Ubisoft’s innovative spirit was key in shaping the path toward its future.
Over time, Ubisoft evolved from being a small family business to a massive international organization, never losing its drive to explore new ideas and technologies. From pioneering dynamic lighting in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell for PlayStation 2, to encouraging player movement with the controls of Just Dance, or creating vast open and systemic worlds in Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, and The Division, Ubisoft has dedicated itself to finding fresh and exciting ways to reinvent video game creation.
