Artificial Intelligence is here to stay and has now begun to take over not only computers and smartphones, but also large corporations. Such is the case of Otonomus, the world’s first AI-operated hotel, which will soon arrive in Las Vegas. Here’s a look at what it’s like and when you’ll be able to stay there.
What is Otonomus, the world’s first hotel operated by AI like?
The Otonomus hotel will feature 550 rooms, each with an area of 856 square feet. Every room will be equipped with artificial intelligence technology designed to tailor the stay to each guest’s individual needs, offering a truly unique lodging experience.
During the digital check-in process, the AI will generate a user avatar and memorize preferences—such as the guest’s favorite type of coffee. The hotel will operate using two patented artificial intelligence systems: FIRO, a reservation engine that optimizes room allocation and allows guests to choose personalized options based on various setups and preferences.

On the other hand, KEE will function as both a digital room key and a virtual assistant. This means the traditional front desk will be eliminated, and check-in will be automated through KEE.
Despite all these technological innovations, artificial intelligence will not replace human interaction. Guests who prefer a more classic experience will have the option to disconnect from the technology and receive personalized service.
When will the Otonomus hotel open in Las Vegas?
The official opening of the Otonomus hotel in Las Vegas is scheduled for May 2025.
How much will it cost to stay at the Otonomus hotel in Las Vegas?
According to reports, the base price for a stay at the Otonomus hotel in Las Vegas will be $300 per night.
What is Artificial Intelligence?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of science dedicated to developing computers and machines capable of reasoning, learning, and acting in ways that typically require human intelligence. This field also involves managing vast volumes of data whose complexity exceeds human analytical capabilities.
In the business world, AI is a set of technologies primarily based on machine learning and deep learning. These technologies are used in various applications, including data analysis, predictions, object classification, recommendations, and more.

How does AI work?
Artificial Intelligence works by learning from large amounts of data through algorithms. It analyzes that data, identifies patterns, and uses that knowledge to make decisions, predictions, or solve problems. Over time, it improves its performance through feedback. In short, it works through the following key steps:
- Data Collection: AI is trained with data (images, text, voice, etc.).
- Machine Learning: It uses algorithms to learn from that data.
- Model Creation: Models are built that can make decisions or predictions.
- Application: It’s used in tasks like voice recognition, language translation, or product recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement: It learns from mistakes and adjusts over time.
Types of Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence has four stages of development:
- Reactive AI: Has no memory or ability to learn from the past, so it cannot improve with experience.
- Limited Memory AI: Can use past data to make temporary decisions. It learns over time, but only in the short term.
- Theory of Mind AI (still in development): Would be capable of understanding human emotions, beliefs, and intentions, allowing it to interact socially in a more natural and empathetic way.
- Self-aware AI (future/theoretical): Would possess self-awareness, emotions, and a sense of identity. It could make complex decisions with an awareness of its own existence.
