Easter season has arrived, and Subway is joining the celebration with the launch of a new Easter-themed menu. If you’re a fan of these sandwiches, here’s what it includes and when it will be available. Take note!
What’s included in Subway’s new Easter menu?
The fast food chain has added two new items to its menu inspired by Easter buns, perfect for both sweet and savory lovers. These items are made with all the aromatic spices and sweetness of the traditional Easter bun but served in Subway’s classic style. Here are the two new additions:
- Footlong Hot Cross Bun Slice: A traditional spiced cross bun with sweet raisins and orange and lemon zest. It is served toasted with Cornish salted butter for a perfect sweet and savory slice.
- Cheesy Bacon Hot Cross Bun Toastie: Made with the new freshly baked cross bun, layers of bacon, double American cheese, and topped with barbecue sauce. Available in 30 cm or 15 cm portions.

When will Subway’s new Easter menu be available?
The new limited-edition items are available starting March 19 and will be on the menu until the end of April or while supplies last. You can order them at physical stores, online for home delivery, or for pickup through the official app.
History of Subway
In 1965, Fred DeLuca dreamed of becoming a doctor. To finance his education, with an initial loan of $1,000, his friend, Dr. Peter Buck, suggested opening a submarine sandwich shop, which started a partnership that would transform the fast food industry.
The first location opened in August 1965 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Their goal was to open 32 restaurants in a decade. As time passed, Fred gained business management knowledge, learning the importance of offering high-quality products, providing excellent customer service, maintaining low operating costs, and choosing the best locations for their stores.
By 1974, Fred and Peter owned and managed 16 sandwich shops in Connecticut. Realizing they wouldn’t meet their goal of 32 locations, they decided to begin franchising and launched the Subway brand, starting a remarkable expansion period that continues today. Subway has since become the largest submarine sandwich chain in the world, with over 40,000 locations.
