For the second consecutive year, renowned television host, writer, producer, and comedian Conan O’Brien, an Emmy Award winner, will be the one to host the Academy Awards broadcast.
O’Brien is widely known for hosting late-night shows like “Late Night with Conan O’Brien“, “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien“, and “Conan”. Before his successful career as a host, he worked as a writer for “Saturday Night Live” and “The Simpsons“.

Throughout his career, he has won five Primetime Emmy Awards and received 31 nominations for his outstanding work.
2025 Oscars Break Audience Records
Under O’Brien’s hosting, the 97th edition of the Academy Awards, held on March 2 this year, achieved its highest audience in five years, with a total of 19.69 million viewers and a 4.54 rating in the 18-49 age group.
Additionally, it became the most-watched entertainment broadcast in prime time, both in total audience and in the adult segment, during the 2024-2025 season.
The latest edition of the Academy Awards also recorded 104.2 million social interactions, becoming the most social TV program of the season so far, surpassing the “Grammy Awards” (102.2 million interactions) and the “Super Bowl” (62.4 million), marking the first time in history this has happened.
