After the announcement by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to impose a 25 percent tariff on all products from Mexico, the Mexican and Latino communities have started a boycott against major U.S. companies. One of the most affected has been Coca-Cola, and here’s why.
Through various social media platforms, a movement called the Freeze Latino Movement has started, calling for the consumption of only Mexican products and urging people to stop buying brands that have turned their backs on Latinos, such as the soda company.
Latinos are asking to stop buying Coca-Cola
The anger of Latinos toward Coca-Cola has gone viral on social media in recent days, with many even calling for people to stop buying this brand and instead consume Pepsi from now on.

But why the fury toward the company? It all started when it began circulating that Coca-Cola had laid off thousands of Latino employees in Texas, who were later detained and deported by U.S. authorities during raids ordered by President Donald Trump.

Coca Cola no solo ayudó a Mr. 🍊 a llegar a la presidencia y sigue financiando la guerra en G🅰️Z🅰️, sino que está colaborando para deportar migrantes.

So far, the company has not indicated whether this is true or false, but in the meantime, the Latino community has orchestrated a boycott against it, which will undoubtedly affect the company’s sales.

Another reason fueling the animosity toward Coca-Cola is related to the fact that President Donald Trump’s favorite drink is Diet Coke. In fact, the brand even gifted him a special edition bottle to commemorate the start of his second term.
