Chipotle will give away free guacamole and queso blanco for the Super Bowl
This Tuesday, Chipotle introduced a new holiday called “Extra Sunday”, inspired by the growing movement of Americans seeking to turn the Monday after the Super Bowl into a national holiday.
As part of this celebration, on Monday, February 10, Chipotle Rewards members will be able to enjoy a special promotion: free guacamole and queso blanco with the purchase of any main dish. This offer will be available exclusively on the Chipotle app and on Chipotle.com using the promo code “EXTRA25”.

Chipotle will give away free entries during the Super Bowl
The restaurant will add a special touch to the game day with an exclusive activation that will reward fans with up to 50,000 free entries for those following the American football championship.
Every time something “extra” happens during the NFL American football championship, Chipotle will send a text message with the code to redeem it via a tweet on the @ChipotleTweets account on X and a story on @Chipotle’s Instagram.
Some examples of “extra” events include:
- The offensive team converts on a fourth down.
- The offensive team successfully kicks an extra point.
- The offensive team scores a two-point conversion.
- Any other event that happens during the game and that Chipotle deems an “extra” event.
The first fans to text the assigned code to 888-222 will receive a code for a free Chipotle entry, up to the limit specified in each message.
The codes are for single use only and are valid for a free main dish at regular price, only at participating Chipotle locations in the United States, and only for orders made through the Chipotle mobile app or online at Chipotle.com.

Why is it called the Super Bowl?
In 1960, the United States had two professional American football leagues: the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL). In 1967, both leagues decided to face off in a game to determine the absolute champion, with the teams that finished first in each league’s tournament competing.
Originally, this game was called the “First AFL-NFL World Championship Game”. However, three years later, the two leagues merged, forming the current NFL. In 1970, the name of the tournament was changed to “Super Bowl,” following a proposal by Lamar Hunt, owner of the Kansas City Chiefs.
The idea came from the fact that his son played with a toy called “Super Ball”; Hunt decided to replace “Ball” with “Bowl,” in reference to the bowl used in the naming of college football championships.
