What movies are coming to theaters in 2025?
Action? Comedy? Adventure? There will be something for everyone in this year’s movies! These are the most anticipated releases:
Heart Eyes
This romantic comedy with a horror twist will be released in theaters on February 7. The story follows two colleagues from Seattle who, when mistaken for a couple, become the target of a notorious masked psychopath known as the Heart Eyes Killer, who unleashes bloody chaos every Valentine’s Day.

Paddington in Peru
In this third installment of the beloved live-action comedy, the endearing bear Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw) embarks on an exciting adventure when he discovers that his dear aunt has gone missing in Peru. Accompanied by his adoptive human family, Paddington leaves London for South America, where he will face mysteries, mischief, and the discovery of some hidden treasures while traveling through the Amazon. It hits theaters on February 14.
Captain America: Brave New World
If you like superhero movies, this is a great option to watch on Valentine’s Day. After an encounter with newly elected President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford), the determined Sam Wilson (Mackie) finds himself involved in a complex global conspiracy in this thrilling political superhero film, which arrives in theaters on February 14.
Mickey 17
Mickey is a space worker whose existence is designed to be replaced: every time he dies, a new “copy” of him is created with all his memories intact. However, things take an unexpected turn when Mickey number 17 survives a dangerous mission on an alien world and faces a complicated situation when he meets Mickey number 18. This intriguing film will hit theaters on March 7.
Opus
This horror film, released on March 14, follows an ambitious young writer (Ayo Edebiri) who receives an invitation to visit a remote complex owned by a famous pop star (John Malkovich), who mysteriously disappeared thirty years ago. Surrounded by a cult of the musician’s fans, she begins to uncover the sinister plots behind his much-anticipated return.
Novocaine
This film, which premieres on March 14, centers around Nathan Caine (Jack Quaid), a man who has found the woman of his dreams (Amber Midthunder). When she is kidnapped during a bank robbery, Nathan decides to embark on a solo mission to rescue her. What makes his quest unique is a peculiar ability he possesses: he doesn’t feel physical pain, which allows him to face the most extreme challenges.
Snow White
On March 21, theaters will release the live-action musical adaptation of Disney’s 1937 animated classic, Snow White. The young woman is forced to flee her kingdom due to the Evil Queen, and in a nearby forest, she finds friendship with seven very unique men.
Sinners
A horror film with western undertones that follows twin brothers from the South who return to their hometown intending to leave their dark past behind, only to discover that a dangerous threat has invaded the town. It is set to premiere on April 18.
Thunderbolts*
On May 2, this film will be released in theaters, in which Marvel’s antiheroes are recruited by a mysterious woman to carry out special operation missions.
Karate Kid: Legends
On May 30, this movie will hit theaters, in which young karateka Daniel LaRusso and experienced Mr. Han, who follows Miyagi’s philosophy, team up to train a kung fu prodigy. This young man, forced to move from China to New York due to a family tragedy, is preparing to compete in an important martial arts competition.
Ballerina
On June 6, the John Wick spin-off will be released, focusing on Eve, a ballerina who becomes an assassin as she embarks on a ruthless revenge mission for the death of her father. This thriller will also mark the final on-screen appearance of Lance Reddick, known for his recurring role in the Wick saga.
How to Train Your Dragon
The live-action adaptation of this story will arrive in theaters on June 13. The plot follows Hiccup, a young Viking who defies his father by refusing to hunt the dragons that plague his village. Instead of killing them, Hiccup forms a special bond with one of them, a unique creature he names Toothless, and thus begins an unexpected friendship.
Elio
Scheduled for June 13, this film tells the story of Elio, an 11-year-old boy passionate about space, who dreams of being abducted by aliens. His wish comes true when colorful beings kidnap him, mistakenly believing that he is the leader of Earth. Thus, Elio embarks on a fascinating journey in which he will explore amazing landscapes and learn to discover his true purpose in the universe.
Jurassic World Rebirth
In the new Jurassic World film, arriving in theaters on July 2, an undercover mission expert and a paleontologist embark on a mission to collect DNA samples from three species of giant dinosaurs. Their goal is to develop a miracle drug that could save lives, but during their journey, they uncover a dark secret that has been hidden for years.
Superman: Legacy
Undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films of 2025, which will arrive in theaters on July 11. In this new Man of Steel film, Clark Kent tries to balance his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humanity.
