This Monday, Disney’s live TV service Hulu + and Fubo announced their merger, forming one of the largest pay-TV providers in the country. According to the terms of the agreement, Disney will own 70% of Fubo, while the current management team of the TV streaming service will be responsible for operating the new partnership.
What will the Fubo TV and Disney Plus merger include?
The agreement, which does not include Hulu’s subscription service, will give Disney the opportunity to develop a new platform dedicated to sports and broadcasts. This will include Disney’s various sports and entertainment networks, such as ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, and ESPN+.
According to the terms of the deal, users will still be able to access Fubo and Hulu + Live TV through their respective platforms. Additionally, Hulu + Live TV will remain available on the Hulu app and continue to be part of the bundle that includes Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+.
