Walmart has launched a new commercial for the holiday season, and in it, they surprised Gilmore Girls fans.
The supermarket chain decided to bring back three of its beloved characters: Luke, Lorelai, and Kirk, giving the series’ fans a sense of joy and nostalgia.
The Walmart commercial in the United States starts with Sean Gunn, in his role as Kirk, who is carrying a snow-covered box from the supermarket. He then enters a restaurant, where he meets Luke (Scott Patterson).
Kirk hands the package to Luke, and at that moment, Lorelai (Lauren Graham) walks in, greeting both of them and ordering a coffee.
—”I’ll be right there,” responds Luke, while handing Lorelai the mysterious Walmart box, revealing a Keurig coffee maker inside.
—”Luke, you shouldn’t have done that,” she tells him.
After the conversation between Luke and Lorelai, the commercial shows the couple outside the restaurant, enjoying the snow typical of the Christmas season.
